This roleinvolves scheduling research participants over the phone andthrough email, organizing research materials, conducting researchparticipant sessions, working with undergraduate researchers, dataentry, and various administrative duties. We are currentlycollecting data for a longitudinal research project funded by theNational Institutes of Health (awarded to Dr. Mona El-Sheikh). Thetypical work schedule would be Mon – Fri 9-5 with flexibility ifparticipants need to come in on a weekend day. Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the AuburnUniversity Department of Human Resources, is an in-house supportcenter established to meet the temporary employment needs of theuniversity. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporaryemployees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffingneeds throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for avariety of reasons with the most common being: Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent fora specified period of time Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peakworkloads Assistance with special projects Seasonal work Emergencies If you are looking for an employment opportunity, TES is a greatway to showcase your professional skills and assist AuburnUniversity while gaining valuable work experience within highereducation. AU student employees are not eligible for TES. Essential Functions Assists in the development of project proposals, plans andprotocols. Conducts routine or fundamental experiments, investigationsand/or studies related to programs and projects in pursuit of newknowledge, techniques and concepts. Assists with logistical considerations to include equipment,materials, and labor needs. Collects data/samples related to others’ research and inroutine cases. Records, compiles, processes and analyzes data/samples. •Documents results and observations in writing as well as presentingresults to others. May assist in the preparation of research results forpublication or presentation at conferences to include assisting inliterature reviews and assisting in the writing of results anddiscussions.
