Retail Shoplifting Research:
$50/interview (Gainesville, FL) compensation: $50 per interview The Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC) is recruiting individuals with a history of shoplifting and other retail crimes to participate in a research in-person study. This study will focus on your experience in shoplifting and your perspective on prevention measures. We are looking for people with experience shoplifting within the past 5 years. During the study, you will be asked to come to our labs at the UF Innovate Hub, in Gainesville, FL. You will fill out a short computer survey. You will then be shown a few prevention measures and asked for your opinions and thoughts about it. For your participation, you will receive a $50 [Visa] gift card; this gift card can be spent anywhere that accepts Visa. We are an independent organization and are not part of any law enforcement agency. We work with retailers to understand why and how individuals shoplift and commit other retail crimes, and any information collected during the study will never be d in a way that you can be identified.
