Competitive retirement package to secureyour future. Responsibilities The Research Fellow will work in thelaboratory of Dr. Minerva Carrasquillo, who is one of fourco-principal investigators on the NIH-funded

programfocused on the identification of novel blood biomarkers andtherapeutic targets for Alzheimers disease. The Research Fellowshould have formal training and a strong grasp of concepts ingenomics, epigenetics, statistics, experience programming in R, andindependently implementing bioinformatics tools commonly utilizedin genomics studies. Responsibilities will include gathering,organizing, and analyzing multi-omics and exposome data from studyparticipants included in the

CLEAR-AD

program, regularlycommunicating the progress of the data collection and analysisresults with lab members and with internal and externalcollaborators, preparing and submitting manuscripts and grantproposals, and co-mentoring junior trainees. Active participationin monthly conference calls will be required and potentially travelto an annual conference to present the projects progress.

Qualifications Must have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related fieldat the time of the start date of the Research Fellowship.

Candidates should have completed no more than one priorpostdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere. Applicantsshould have experience leading research projects and should havecontributed as first author to peer-reviewed publications. A Research Fellow at MayoClinic is a temporary position intended to provide training andeducation in research. Individuals will train in the researchprogram of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualifiedindividuals will demonstrate the potential for research asevidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications andshould become competitive for national research grants. Proof ofEnglish proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars,Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Internssponsored by Mayo Clinic. Qualifications Must have a Ph.D. inNeuroscience or related field at the time of the start date of theResearch Fellowship.
