The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences is recruiting a Assistant Professor (Research) to support ongoing research activities in developmental psychiatry the Silver Child Development Center. This position will be responsible for supporting ongoing basic and translational research activities in developmental psychiatry. Other responsibilities include applying for and obtaining external funding and publishing in peer reviewed journals.
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.

Applies for and obtains external grants and extramural funding; Develop and maintain a nationally competitive research program with continued extramural funding, peer-reviewed publications, and collaboration with other faculty. Provides didactic and bench side teaching of undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Participate in service functions of the institute, department, or university and at the national level. Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department..
