We use a range of approaches, including genomic-scale studies, neural circuit-based studies, molecular-genetic perturbations and behavioral analyses to understand how complex behavior arises.

This is a full-time, on-site role for an OPS Research Assistant at Florida State University. The OPS Research Assistant will be responsible for performing various day-to-day tasks related to research, including but not limited to: data collection, data analysis, laboratory work, maintenance of lab equipment and communication with team members, faculty, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher (BS, BA, MS, or PhD) in an appropriate field and at least one year of experience working in a research setting. Pay scale is based on experience. The position is full time. The hours are 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday. Prefer an individual with molecular biology, Drosophila genetics, confocal microscopy, genomics, computer programming, managing employees, and/or bioinformatics skills. The applicant is expected to start the position no later than June 2025. The applicant will need to go through the FSU onboarding procedure that takes about 6 weeks.
