Research Data Associate (Institute for Pediatric Rare Diseases, Medicine) 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Tallahassee, FL Department College of Medicine, Institute for Pediatric Rare Diseases Responsibilities Provides foundational research support in genomics data collection and analysis. Participates in administrative and academic research initiatives. Collaborates with researchers, genetic counselors and clinicians to integrate clinical insights and research methodologies. Curates and maintains genetic databases (e.g. Geisinger DBD) ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency to support genomic research. Assists with data management and data analysis under the direction of post-doctoral fellows and faculty. Contributes to the development of research proposals, grant applications, and scholarly publications, thereby advancing the knowledge and practice of genetic counseling. Assists in developing, organizing, and executing research projects. Assists in preparing documentation for grants and reports. Supports general administrative efforts in research initiatives to improve overall productivity of the research team. Works closely with genetic counselors, clinicians, research, and academic staff to support clinical research integration and ensure accuracy in genetic data interpretation. Collaborates with data curation specialists to ensure data accuracy and quality. Facilitates collaborative efforts with genetics counselors, clinicians, and other research staff to integrate clinical insights and research methodologies. Performs basic informatics analytics and computational research tasks under the guidance of the Principal Investigator, contributing to ongoing research initiatives and publications. Qualifications High school diploma/equivalent and four years of experience; or a combination of post-high school education and experience equal to four years.
