Description
The APP Fellowship program is designed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Advanced Practice Provider Fellowships Accreditation (APPFA), which provides a set of standards that guides the program and outlines goals & objectives that are to be successfullypleted to graduate with a certificate. The program builds upon the graduate APP education to develop advanced skills providing care for patients in the outpatient/inpatient setting via face-to-face or telehealth encounters. Under the direction of the program directors (PD) and preceptors, the APP fellow can: provide quality care, perform patient assessments, H&Ps, take thorough medical histories, interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, develop medical diagnoses, appropriate treatment plans, prescribe medical regimen, and educate the patient/family regarding diagnosis & plan of care. The APP fellows may perform approved procedures and order medications as indicated in the delineation of privileges. The APP fellow works directly with the Program Directors, physicians, staff, administration, patients, and families to ensure quality of care across the health system. The APP fellow intervenes and manages deteriorating patients under the supervision and direction of the PDs and preceptors.
The 2025 APP Fellowship is set tomence in August. Qualifications

Degrees:

Masters.

Licenses & Certifications:

NCCPA Certified Physician Assistant.
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
ANCC Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP) certification preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

Advanced practice providers (APP) fellows must have successfully graduated from an accredited institution with a master graduate degree or higher and maintain/bepliant with certifications & licensures throughout their time at BHSF.
APP Fellows must bepliant with state requirements for CEU’s and Licensure Renewal (

Including:

Medical Errors, HIV/AIDS & Domestic violence done on initial Certification).
BLS Certification must be valid through 12/2025 or later date. Possess good interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbalmunication skills, and basicputer knowledge.
CITI certification within the first (3) months of the Fellowship program.
