The University of Miami Frost Institute for Data Science and Computing seeks a postdoctoral associate to join its Creative Technologies Program. The Post Doctoral Associate provides support for collaborations and projects with the UM research community, other academic institutions, and with industry to leverage Extended Realities (XR) and data-oriented development and implementation of XR experiences to provide data driven solutions to real world problems.

The Postdoctoral Associate:

1. Conducts interdisciplinary research targeting XR solutions for a range of educational issues (e.g., K-12 curriculum STEM and literacy skills). 2. Collaborates across partner universities and research centers to influence innovation in XR and education (e.g., setup and deploy from lab to field studies and large-scale implementations, create experiments, and prototype implementations, design new XR experiences). 3. Works on XR research related to Literacy and STEM learning in K-12 curriculum. 5. Publishes and presents novel research findings in top academic venues, sharing with communities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Ph.D. required.

Experience:

No previous experience required.

+ Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data. + Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. + Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
