Description The Tissue Acquisition Specialist assists in the coordination, collection, processing, storage, and shipment of tissue biospecimens for research purposes, including clinical trials and translational cancer research. Will also perform a variety of research duties, which may include consenting patients, abstracting and organizing patient data, and creating data collection tools. The estimated pay range for this position is $22.87 – $29.73 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications Degrees:
Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Licenses & Certifications:
Basic Life Support.
Additional Qualifications:
Self-motivated and driven individual who has demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and cross-functional environment. Must be able to prioritize and organize work responsibilities to meet deadlines. Medical Terminology experience preferred. Should have general knowledge of the workflow involved in processing, fixing, or freezing tissue specimens. Must demonstrate accuracy in recording data. Must have excellent manual dexterity, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and clerical skills including use of computers.
