Job Description
Research Assistant Protean BioDiagnostics 6555 Sanger Road, Orlando, FL 32827 As a Research Assistant you will be reporting to the Research Manager to help across various research project. This position will help in the preparation and management of various projects, which can include specimen procurement, clinical trials and independent research studies. There will be no laboratory based duties for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works as a partner on the Research Team to develop new research proposals, organize and manage clinical trials, procure specimens for various projects.
- Support ongoing research projects by paying attention to the projects details, while keeping in mind each project’s overall timelines.
Skills:
Demonstrate exemplary people skills while organized in the upkeep of various projects. Comfortable working in a fast paced environment where priorities shift and change. Solid understanding of all things Microsoft – Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. Excellent organizational skills. It’s not unusual to have multiple projects ongoing at one time. Excellent communication skills. Our research team is responsible for communication with multiple clients, preparing research proposals and executing them to completion. Clear and concise communication and interpersonal skills to clients and internal team members Problem-solving/conflict resolution skills. Experience with resource management creating budgets and finding best value.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with Biology/Medical focus.
- At least 1 year of experience in some clinical and/or research setting.
- The ability and strong desire to “do what it takes to make things happen” and a self-starter attitude.
- Ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently.
- Ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, ability to troubleshoot, persistence to solve problems.
