Research Support Assistant OncologyJob Description The Research Support Assistant will assist the Clinical Research Coordinators (CRC) and Research Nurses (CRN) in the conduct of Phase I-IV industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials in accordance with trial protocols, FDA Regulations, and ICH/GCP Guidelines. The Research Support Assistant is accountable to the CRC/CRN and works with them and other study team members to meet study-specific goals and timelines. This role includes assisting with recruiting needs, maintaining study charts, and responding to data clarification requests. The Research Support Assistant will also support the research team by managing documentation and ensuring compliance with all regulations pertaining to human subjects research. Responsibilities + Assist CRC/CRN in conducting clinical trials according to protocols and guidelines. + Communicate effectively with study team members, internal staff, and external collaborators. + Assist with subject recruitment and pre-screening activities. + Ensure timely submission and filing of data forms and laboratory materials. + Maintain study charts and respond to data clarification requests promptly. + Support project timelines and update databases for recruiting. + Assist with study close-out activities. + Create and maintain accurate study files and manage documentation processes. + Conform to standards of good research practice and comply with IRB, FDA, federal, state, and institutional regulations. + Participate in initial and ongoing protocol training. + Maintain personal professional growth and contribute to team development. + Provide outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships with all parties. Essential Skills + Strong interpersonal skills to interact with healthcare disciplines and the public. + Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. + Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Internet skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate degree in health science or related field, OR + 3 years equivalent administrative/professional experience, OR + 2 years clinical research experience. Work Environment The Research Support Assistant will work onsite at the TRI Building and will travel to other sites between the main campus and Celebration.
