Provide support in the daily operations of The Graduate School and the Office of Graduate Admissions. Assist the assistant director and graduate admissions staff with admissions, recruitment, and retention processes and other activities. Activities include assisting with answering telephones and email inquiries from prospective graduate applicants, greeting office guests, data entry, and file maintenance. Work closely with the assistant director of The Graduate School to support the planning, coordination, and execution of graduate-related virtual and in-person events, activities, and programs. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Responsibilities Administrative Support – 70%
Assist the staff with graduate admissions, recruitment, and retention processes and activities. Assist with answering telephones and email inquiries from prospective graduate students, greeting office guests, data entry, and file maintenance. Project Coordination – 20%
Assistant Director of Graduate Enrollment Management to support the planning, coordination, and execution of graduate related virtual and in-person events and programs. Other Duties as Assigned – 10%
The graduate assistant performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements

Approved for regular admission to a graduate degree program at Georgia College & State University. Upload Acceptance into “Additional Documents” attachment in application. Maintain academic good standing. If a student’s grade point average falls below a 3.00 (academic warning), the student will have next semester or summer term to improve and return to good standing before termination of the assistantship. Should a student fail to return to good standing after the next semester or summer term, or should a student receive academic exclusion and be dismissed from the degree program, the assistantship will be terminated at once. This position will work in-person 19 hours per week.
– Full assistantships (19 hours/week) cover all but $25 of tuition.
– Applicable student fees are not covered by the assistantship. Course loads for graduate assistants must be at least 6 graduate semester hours. Required Documents to Attach
