Medical Research TechnicianPharmacology, Tulane Medical Center Location:
New Orleans, LA Summary We are seeking a laboratory research technician to provide support for many aspects of the daily operation of the Pharmacology lab with a focus on mitochondria in the brain vasculature. The conditions we study are aging and Alzheimer’s disease. The laboratory research technician will work as part of a team comprised of faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students, or independently. The position involves rodent handling, monitoring, breeding, and colony maintenance. In addition, working with rodent tissues is expected. The applicant is expected to have a background in cerebrovascular sciences. Preference will be given to applicants with proven experience in research in cerebrovascular sciences and imaging background. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and one year of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cerebrovascular or cardiovascular research, or any biomedical science.
- Experience working with rodent models.
- Experience doing bench science.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
