Description:
This postdoctoral fellow position is aimed at supporting a junior scholar in the field of violence prevention, while also assisting the Violence Prevention Institute in carrying out many of our ongoing community-partnered research projects. The Postdoc Fellow will conduct geographical, population health research related to violence prevention and health equity, prepares manuscripts for publication and other dissemination documents, conducts quantitative data analysis, and assists in qualitative data analysis and grant submissions. The position will enhance the strengths of the VPI as well as the school and university as a whole, as we continue to conduct ground-breaking violence prevention research at Tulane and to disseminate the work for action and policy.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Public Health, Population Health, Sociology, or a related field.
- Experience analyzing longitudinal, multilevel data.
- Experience with Geographic information systems (GIS).
