The Research Administrator will report to the Director of Research and provide support with IRB applications, grant proposals, and study coordination. They will work with the NI event coordinator to organize research-focused meetings, convenings, and events, such as Fridays at Newcomb, and collaborate with NI communications staff on research communications, such as the ReproNews monthly newsletter and the release of NI research reports. They will maintain a database of NI and NI-funded research outputs, as well as a database of external research partners. They will also work with the Newcomb Archives and Vorhoff Collection faculty to support efforts to promote engagement with archival collections. The person in this role may also conduct research projects, such as developing a landscape analysis of sexual and reproductive health and rights resources across Louisiana. This is a one-year, grant funded position with possibility for renewal. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Training on gender equity and/or feminist theory and research. Experience working independently and completing detailed tasks by assigned deadlines. Experience with data analysis and academic report generation. Ability to train and supervise students. Experience building relationships with external partners and stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, sensitivity, and discretion. Computer proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software applications. Required Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree in a related field 3-5 years of research administration experience Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree Demonstrated experience of successful program or research administration. Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis. Demonstrated ability to both work independently and collaboratively and share responsibility as part of teams. Demonstrated ability to cultivate partnerships and networks with scholars, university partners, and community organizations. Knowledge of the reproductive justice framework and gender equity scholarship. Experience with and commitment to working with diverse communities.
