Eli Lilly and Companyseeks a Preclinical Pharmacologist (R1-R4) to design and plan invivo experiments to support preclinical characterization andevaluation of novel therapeutic molecules. Perform animal handlingand dosing, including subcutaneous, intravenous, andintraperitoneal injections. Conduct small animal stereotaxicsurgeries, including intracerebral and intracerebroventricularinjections. Perform central nervous system (CNS) tissue dissection,trimming, and processing. Support experimental design, integrateddata analysis, and communication of results to scientific teams andmanagement. Support technology development to improve delivery ofnovel therapeutics to CNS regions of interest. LI-DNI Positionrequires a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Engineering,Neuroscience, or a related field, and 2 years of experience with invivo models and assays to support neuroscience-related drugdiscovery projects. Experience must include a minimum of: 2 yearsof experience with designing and executing in vivo pharmacologicalexperiments; 2 years of experience with dosing animal models invivo, including intracranial injections; 2 years of experience withcollection of bodily fluids from in vivo animal models; 2 years ofexperience with CNS tissue dissection and processing; and 2 yearsof experience with processing, organizing, and visualizingexperimental data. Up to 5% domestic and international travelrequired.
