Research Associate

II POSITION DESCRIPTION

: TakedaVaccines, Inc. is seeking a Research Associate II with thefollowing duties: develop, perform, and troubleshoot immunological,virological, and molecular biology techniques to support viralvaccine programs in a BSL-2 environment; perform cell culture(primary and transformed) for vaccine candidate development andexperimental needs; design and execute immunoassays to measurevaccine efficacy and target engagement, ensuring reproducibilityand accuracy of results; utilize bioanalytics techniques, includingprotein quantitation and characterization, to assess therapeuticprotein functionality and pharmacokinetics; write and executeautomation scripts, use liquid handling systems, and manage samplesvia basic LIMS and electronic lab notebooks; interpret data andcompile reports for team and company presentations, applyingscientific literature to improve experimental design; collaboratewith team members on projects and provide recommendations forproject and method improvements; ensure compliance with safetyprotocols and standard operating procedures in all laboratory work.

Less than 5% domestic travel required for training and congress.

REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in Biotechnology or related field,plus 2 years of related experience.

Prior experience must include:

immunological, virological, and molecular biology techniques

  • usevarious lab techniques to support viral vaccine programs, includingimmunoassays, cell culture, and molecular biology methods (such asPCR, ELISA, etc.); bioanalytics and protein characterization
  • utilize protein quantitation and characterization skills, as wellas assessing therapeutic protein functionality and pharmacokineticsin biological samples; automation and liquid handling
  • work withautomation scripts, liquid handling systems, and basic laboratorymanagement tools like LIMS for sample inventory and management;data analysis and scientific reporting
  • interpret experimentaldata, assemble reports, and present findings clearly, whileapplying scientific principles and ensuring adherence to GoodLaboratory Practices (GLP). Full time. $87,000.00
  • $133,000.
