The Program Manager will collaborate with the Director of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion Programs to plan and execute initiatives that foster an inclusive and diverse campus environment. Responsibilities include program development, research, planning, outreach, and facilitation. The role requires flexibility to work during evenings and weekends as needed. Programs will include community conversations to provide opportunities for folks to connect and talk with each other, workshops, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development:
Assist in creating and hosting programs for students and the broader campus community. This includes conducting research, planning events, performing outreach, and facilitating/co-facilitating programs.
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative assistance such as event scheduling and campus communications, to the
Director of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion Programs Education/Skills Requirements:
Minimum:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred:
Associate’s degree or higher.
Skills:
Proficiency in necessary equipment and computer skills such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Demonstrated initiative, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to interact professionally with campus partners. Experience Requirements and/or
Equivalents:
Experience in community building and promoting inclusion.
Familiarity and comfort working with diverse groups.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience working in a higher education setting, non-profit or other educational programs.
Standard Work Days and Hours:
This is a casual, part-time, non-benefit eligible position working less than 19 hours/week. Standard administrative hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm. Weekly schedule may vary. We regret that Bowdoin College is unable to provide visa sponsorship for staff positions.
