Hiring Department UMKC’s School of Graduate Studies Job Description UMKC’s School of Graduate Studies (SGS) is seeking qualified applicants for a Senior Office Support Assistant role. This role will report to the Senior Program Manager of SGS. Highlighted responsibilities for this role include: Be the face of the SGS front desk, answer e-mail and phone
Maintain calendars/schedules of Dean, Associate Dean, Graduate program directors and coordinators, Graduate Studies events
Create and distribute announcements/communication to Graduate Students and Faculty
Pull data reports at request of SGS Deans and Sr. Program Manager
Maintain and update SGS website
Oversee supply orders by working with our fiscal team
Oversee online paperwork approvals on behalf of SGS, through our new online space GradProRoo
Other duties as assigned
Shift This position is in-office and not eligible for remote or hybrid scheduling. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications Masters degree preferred
2 years of experience working in higher education
Strong written/verbal communication and organization skills
Anticipated Hiring Range $17.00 – $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. Application Materials Resume & Cover Letter are required for consideration.
