Description The director is responsible for developing, coordinating, managing, and monitoring a comprehensive program of institutional effectiveness that will comply with state and accrediting agency requirements. This role includes ensuring data accuracy for internal and external reporting, and supporting strategic planning and student learning outcomes assessments. Key duties involve preparing compliance reports, coordinating evaluation activities, and acting as the Accreditation Liaison with the College’s accrediting commission. The director will also review class records to ensure proper reporting and compliance for budget FTE. Examples of Duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 include, but are not limited to, the following
Develops, organizes, and implements comprehensive planning and evaluation activities and programs for the College. Directs, oversees, and participates in college planning activities and projects; monitors and evaluates effectiveness of planning and procedures, products, and recommendations; trains College faculty and staff in goal setting, planning, and evaluation techniques and procedures. Query, retrieve, and establish databases and cohorts from the data warehouse and Datatel to support assessment, evaluation, planning, and reporting needs of the College to facilitate decision-making and report submission. Serves as an informational resource to the college administration, faculty, and staff in the total planning process. Prepares annual Institutional Effectiveness Plan, including college priorities, goals, and mission updates. Assists with compiling the accomplishments of the College annually for presentation to the Board of Trustees; establishes yearly college priorities and goals. Assists with the Annual Program Review for each of the college’s instructional and service programs; assists with the development, revision, measurement, and assessment of learning outcomes and documentation of the use of results. Assists instructional program staff with state or national accreditation requirements. Monitors annual performance indicators and informs administration of changes, results, and trends. Facilitates accreditation activities for the

College:

compiles and submits the accreditation institutional profiles, ensures compliance with substantive change and other accreditation-related policies, and provides ongoing documentation of institutional compliance with all accreditation standards. Serves as the Accreditation Liaison for the College. Serves as the IPEDS key holder, ensures Fall, Spring, and Winter collection reports are submitted accurately and on time, and locked down into the IPEDS system. Facilitates the annual NCCCS report plan for institutional reporting, including NCHEDS, IPEDS, Customized Training, Career Readiness-Literacy, FTE, Financial Aid, and building utilization. Serves as the College Data Coordinator. Supervises the design, administration, and summary of all external and internal surveys, including graduate, non-completer, employer, course, and environmental surveys etc. Perform an internal audit of class records for both CE and CU and provide feedback as appropriate to ensure class records are compliant and ready for the FTE compliance review
Facilitate the FTE compliance review by providing requested files and documentation to the compliance examiner and serving as the liaison between the compliance examiner and the college throughout the process
Represents the College in professional organizations such as CCPRO and other statewide committees, such as performance funding and leadership initiatives. EXPERIENCE

Minimum of a master’s degree with three to five years’ experience in an educational setting and/or knowledge of strategic planning, accreditation, and auditing procedures.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, instructors, students, and the public. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
