The Vice Chancellor for Research (VCR) will report to the newly selected Chancellor, James (Jim) R. Martin, and oversee the research enterprise across the university. As

seeks to become a culturally responsive R1 institution, the vice chancellor will set strategic priorities for the Division of Research and establish a vision for future growth and success. The VCR will be responsible for advancing the research goals of N.C. A&T and expanding the research funding base from federal and state agencies, foundations, and the private sector. The VCR will facilitate research, develop partnerships, and address critical issues for the research community. The ideal candidate will have the credentials, demonstrated leadership, and administrative ability to successfully facilitate research, develop partnerships, and address critical issues for the research community. The successful candidate will also have a strong professional accomplishment record and high recognition in the academic community. An earned doctoral degree and credentials to support the rank of Professor with tenure in an appropriate academic unit are required.
