• Friday, but occasional evenings and weekends Pay Rate $56,795 Minimum Experience/Education Required Qualifications Completed doctoral degree in Kinesiology, Behavioral Sciences, Health Promotion, Public Health or closely related areas with an interest working with urban communities by start date Excellent communication and writing skills Analytic programming/coding skills for data management and statistical analyses Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to work independently within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team Attention to detail

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

Preferred Qualifications Human research experience in home and/or community environments Knowledge of working with theories from health and social psychology Qualitative and quantitative research methodology experience Special consideration given to individuals with experience and publications in the areas of behavioral interventions, community-based research, racialized/minoritized communities, and/or yoga Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities might include but are not limited to: serving as a research trainee to further develop and refine research skills; engaging in the conceptualization, design, and implementation of research projects under the guidance of Dr. Barr-Anderson; analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative research data; aiding in the creation of research materials for the publication of technical reports, articles, and/or conference talks; and actively engaging in the grant writing process to secure additional funding.
