Job Overview:
Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery Fellowship Dates August 1 through July 31 The
JCMC RWJBH
Trauma Surgery Fellowship experience includes an opportunity to participate in the acute evaluation and management of orthopaedic injuries, and evaluation and treatment of post-traumatic deformities and nonunions. Special emphasis will be placed on both acute and delayed reconstruction of pelvic and acetabular fractures as well as osteotomy in the adult hip for treatment of hip arthritis. RWJBH Orthopaeidc Trauma offers exposure to both acute orthopaedic injury and a referral practice of complex post-traumatic conditions. The fellow participates as part of the orthopaedic trauma team, and will be expected to participate in resident education. An opportunity for basic science research is also available, with an emphasis in research in hip mechanics and post-traumatic arthritis.
Qualifications:
Required:
Ideal candidates are typically graduates of a MD or DO medical school and preferably (but not required to) have some residency experience in a surgical field, or alternatively could have a Scientific or Nursing background.
Scheduling Requirements:
Full Time 40 hours/week
