Lawrenceville, NJ Role Description Duties and Responsibilities:
Representative responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Flow cytometers support and maintenance: Daily QC, monthly maintenance, troubleshoot, vendor service and preventative maintenance scheduling, instrument standardization, database management, and user training on BD, Sony, Cytek, Miltenyi, and Amnis instruments Provide training and assist researchers in experimental design and execution of flow cytometry experiments when necessary. Develop and review flow cytometry laboratory procedures and SOPs for Customer review and approval Maintenance of laboratory stocks of supplies and reagents at Customer’s expense Interface with Unity Lab Services on systems’ contract coverage, preventive maintenance, service calls to minimize system downtime and optimize performance Regular communication with user group on the usage, status, and performance of flow cytometry instrumentation Flow cytometry assays execution Ability to design and execute flow cytometry related experiments with limited supervision, which will include but not limited to: human primary cell subsets isolation, cell sorting, in vitro cell culture (short and long term), and flow cytometry readout.
Skills & Requirements Education:
BS/MS in biological science preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a flow cytometry lab in a research environment. Previous experience working in a laboratory flow core preferred. Must possess excellent organization skills and have a high attention to detail with a desire to get the job completed accurately and in a timely manner. Must be collaborative and a team player, resourceful and take initiative. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment to solve problems is essential. Strong analytical and computer skills, including expertise in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint are required. Top 3 Skills Flow Cytometry Lab Support/Flow Lab Experience
- technical knowledge to setup, maintain, and troubleshoot traditional and full spectrum analyzers and sorters Knowledgeable with various flow cytometry analytical concepts and familiar with performing the analysis on a variety of analytical applications, BD FACSDiva, FlowJo and other flow analysis software.
Experience in human primary cell culture and cellular sorting.
Working Conditions:

- Ability to lift and carry between 1-15 lbs.
- Ability to lift to 45 lbs. with assistance
- frequently required to sit, grasp, and use right/left finger dexterity.
