maintaining an unwavering commitment to our mission; embracing change, overcoming obstacles, and creating and recreating the path to achieve our goals Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of Jersey, is seeking a Graduate Assistant with a background in genetics to work in the Cancer Health Equity Department at the Rutgers Cancer Institute.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Program Director, the Graduate Assistant will focus on studies assessing hereditary cancer risk and genetic counseling accessibility. The Graduate Assistant will also initiate the genetic testing process, assist with insurance authorizations, conduct literature reviews, presentations, and other research tasks related to genetic counseling and genetic testing. Additionally, the Graduate Assistant will provide additional support in case identification, recruitment, data collection, study material development, participant tracking, retention, patient communications, and incentives. Among the key duties for this position are the following: Initiates genetic testing process and assists with insurance authorizations.
Conducts literature reviews and prepares presentations.
Supports departmental initiatives related to genetic counseling and genetic testing.
Provides support with case identification, recruitment, data collection, and assists with additional administrative and research data collection duties.
