Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of Jersey, is seeking a Research Analyst for The Center for Women and Work at the School of Management and Labor Relations for the grant funded project, The Role of Worker Empowerment in Transforming the Healthcare System. Under the direction of the project PIs, this position will help administer, support and conduct the research dimension of the project at the center. Among the key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Conducts interviews with a range of respondents including leaders and activists of various kinds of labor and community organizations.
Performs coding and analysis using NVivo qualitative data management software.
Prepares written reports, sections for academic publication, technical reports, presentations, and external communications summarizing research methods, findings, and implications.
Effectively communicates research methods and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Contributes to the design of project research streams with a focus on qualitative methodologies.
Assists in the development of surveys and other data collection tools; assists in IRB applications or modifications.
Maintains standards and processes for data collection, data processing, and data security in accordance with IRB procedures to meet project timelines and workflow.
Works closely with project leadership teams to anticipate research needs and create project timelines for administrative and other support. FLSA Exempt
Salary Details $75,000

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Master’s degree in a related social science field or discipline and at least three years relevant academic or professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of general research principles and practices. Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy.
Ability to work well with others, as well as independently and under minimal supervision.
Strong qualitative research ability including interviewing. Preferred Qualifications Experience with research on unions, healthcare labor relations and/or federal health systems (VA, IHS).
