Davidson Kempner Capital Management LP seeks an Associate in New York, NY to serve on the Product Control team, focusing on portfolio valuation of the firms illiquid investments. Requires a Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field or equivalent, and three (3) years of experience performing valuation analyses on illiquid investments including complex businesses, securities, and transaction structures; evaluating and monitoring illiquid investments for risk, performance, and compliance, ensuring financial reporting and regulatory adherence; preparing and maintaining valuation models and memorandums including documentation for all key valuation inputs; providing support during the year-end audit process including correspondence with and provision of valuation methodologies, assumptions, sensitivity analyses, and underlying financial statements to auditors; performing ad-hoc analytics including stress testing, scenario analysis, and market comparisons, and generating deliverables related to valuations; valuing equities and debt ranging from common equity, and complex equity positions with different share classes to performing debt and distressed credit using valuation techniques, including DCF, Trading Multiples, and Option Pricing Models; assisting in the development and rollout of technology projects to enhance efficiency of valuation and reporting processes; and ensuring accurate preparation and delivery of valuation and documentation for a subset of illiquid positions.
