Head of Systematic Equities Position Available In New York, New York

One of Europe’s most established and consistently top-performing prop trading firms is looking to build out its systematic equities presence in the US. This team runs fully automated, machine learning-driven strategies across global markets. In this collaborative, fast-paced, and high-impact role, you’ll contribute directly to the research and execution pipeline-developing, optimizing, and deploying real-time trading strategies that shape the firm’s edge in a competitive landscape.

Principal Responsibilities:

Conduct new short-horizon alpha, signal, and feature research, developing models with horizons of no more than one week Mentor and guide junior team members Collaborate with peers to review research, solve complex problems, and refine trading strategies Optimize research workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness Contribute to strategic discussions, helping shape the future direction of the business

Your Technical Skillset:

7+ years of quantitative research experience in a successful systematic equities trading team Proven track record of developing profitable and orthogonal trading strategies, with strong mathematical skills Experience in computationally intensive research MS or PhD in a STEM-related field. Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C++, C, Java) A highly collaborative team player, valuing diverse perspectives and building strong partnerships A self-starter who takes initiative, sets ambitious goals, and proactively identifies opportunities for impact Pre-Application Please do not apply if you’re looking for a contract or remote work.
