Job Description:
Provide expertise and coordination for data analysis and interpretation at the Essentia Institute of Rural Health. Build and maintain complex research databases, including a Virtual Data Warehouse (VDW) and Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP), to support and enhance EIRH research activities. Create and develop essential research project data sets, reports, and deliverables to ensure availability and timely dissemination of accurate information. Plan and design data extraction methodologies and data layouts, and perform data analysis and interpretation. Build external partnerships, identify and incorporate new data sources, and guide research informatics team members. Experience with data ETL processes and automation using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). Strong background in Healthcare Business Intelligence or Research Data Management, sourcing data from the Epic Data Model (Caboodle, Clarity, Cogito), is strongly desired.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent field of study and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Computer Programming or Systems Analysis position including documented experience creating SQL queries or documented SAS experience in a research environment. OR Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent field of study and a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Computer Programming or Systems Analysis position including documented experience creating SQL queries or documented SAS experience. Experience in a research environment preferred. OR Minimum of 9 years of experience in a Computer Programming or Systems Analysis Position including documented experience creating SQL queries or documented SAS experience. Experience in a research environment preferred.
