Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced IP Docket Analyst to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this contract role, you will play a vital part in managing intellectual property portfolios, ensuring accurate docketing, and supporting patent-related processes. This IP Docket Analyst position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with expertise in patent applications and portfolio management. How you will make an impact:

  • Maintain and update patent and intellectual property portfolios in electronic docketing systems.
  • Oversee calendar and docket management to ensure timely filings and compliance with deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit patent applications, amendments, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and stakeholders to manage U.S. and foreign patent processes.
  • Generate and analyze reports, charts, and graphs related to intellectual property assets.
  • Utilize tools such as Adobe Acrobat and 3M for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Conduct briefing sessions to ensure clear communication on portfolio updates and deadlines.
  • Support billing functions related to intellectual property services.
  • Monitor and manage electro-optical or technical patent-related data.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in all aspects of docketing and patent preparation. Requirements What we’re looking for:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in intellectual property or patent docketing.
  • Proficiency in electronic docketing systems, such as eDockets or TM databases.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and foreign patent processes and regulations.
  • Familiarity with tools like Adobe Acrobat and 3M for documentation purposes.
  • Experience in preparing, filing, and amending patent applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing calendars and deadlines.
  • Ability to generate reports and analyze data related to patent portfolios.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
