Technician - Day Shift performs quality checks during production, reports issues to supervisors or QA management, and ensures compliance with regulations and company policies. Responsibilities include pre-operational sanitation, facility inspections, and inspecting products for defects. Job Description
Performs net weight, quality, and other checks for each product in the production on their shift. Browses plant to detect potential issues. Reports potential issues to departmental supervisor. If issue cannot be resolved at departmental level QA management is contacted to resolve the issue. Completes the necessary reports and forms to comply with all government regulations and company policies. Night shift performs pre-operational sanitation, (i.e. checking plant prior to the beginning of operations to ensure it is clean in all areas). Inspects facility for structural issues. Comply with written plant policies. Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies. Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products. Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects. Natural occurring defects would be but not limited to: deformity, bruising in excess, infection, discoloration, and abscess. Processing defects would be but not limited to: FM, bones, extraneous material (to include fecal matter), feathers, broken/mis-cut, missed heads, torn, fat levels, etc. Natural occurring defects would be but not limited to: deformity, bruising in excess, infection, discoloration, and abscess. Abnormal situation would be:
