Job Description Key responsibilities include:
Keeping all plant database records up to date and plant identifications accurate Creating and installing plant tags Managing image labeling Coordinating plant ids/questions with garden/nursery staff Answering customer plant questions Writing and editing blog and plant descriptions Supervising plant record/labeling volunteers Participating in botanizing expeditions Working with plant researchers worldwide.
Qualifications Requirements:
Four-year degree in Botany or Horticulture (preferred) Strong background in plant identification and understanding of plant taxonomy and nomenclature Extremely inquisitive self-starter Acute attention to detail Excellent memory retention Dedication to the ex-situ sharing of plant genetics
