After-Hour Calls Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Water Filtration Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and installation of residential water filtration systems, including water pumps, pressure tanks, iron/sulfur filters, water softeners, calcite systems, and more. This role requires a hands-on individual with knowledge of plumbing (PVC), minor electrical skills, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with residential water systems (pumps, tanks, filters, etc.)
- Install new water filtration systems including iron/sulfur filters, water softeners, and calcite filters
- Perform system maintenance, filter replacements, and water quality checks
- Handle plumbing tasks related to PVC connections and piping
- Perform minor electrical connections for system controls and timers
- Lift and carry equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs), including salt bags and filtration tanks
- Communicate effectively with customers about service options and maintenance plans
- Complete service logs and customer records accurately
- Be available for after-hours calls, with overtime pay provided
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and represent the company with integrity
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in water filtration, plumbing, or a related field preferred
- Understanding of residential water treatment systems and components
- Comfortable working with plumbing and minor electrical connections
- Strong physical ability to lift and transport materials and equipment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willingness to work flexible hours including emergency after-hours
