About You Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field AND six (6) years of progressively responsible related experience.

  • OR•Master’s Degree in related field AND four (4) or more years of related experience.
  • OR•May consider substituting years of experience for the 4 year degree.

Four (4) or more years of supervisory/management experience. Valid Florida driver’s license at the date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced certifications: SWANA Manager of Landfill Operations, Florida Landfill Operator Certification, Certified Public Manager, Florida Certified Spotter, FDEP Certified Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Inspection, and/ or Florida Professional Engineer license. Experience in solid waste and/or advanced education in environmental engineering and solid waste management. Experience with design, permitting, and operations of a Class I Landfill including leachate, landfill gas, and other associated systems. Knowledge in AutoCADD Civil 3D and survey methods. Subject to

Passing Substance Screening:

This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of five (5) years.
