DMF 60032705 NC14 This Oyster Rehabilitation Biologist provides scientific support for shellfish rehabilitation programs under the Habitat and Enhancement Section. Duties include performing data collection and material deployments in annual operations of shellfish rehabilitation programs. This position will serve as the section’s primary point of contact for shellfish rehabilitation operations in the southern region of Pamlico Sound.
Key Responsibilities:
Field data collection and analysis
Development of annual habitat enhancement plans
Participation on various fishery management advisory groups
Coordination of field operations for several shellfish rehabilitation programs The Division of Marine Fisheries The North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF) is responsible for the stewardship of the state’s marine and estuarine resources. The DMF’s jurisdiction encompasses all coastal waters and extends to 3 miles offshore.
