Wildlife Control Agent Go-Forth Pest Control Rocky Mount, NC Job Summary:
The Wildlife Control Agent will be responsible for the humane removal, exclusion, and management of nuisance wildlife from residential and commercial properties. This role requires the use of specialized knowledge and skills to identify wildlife issues, devise effective control strategies, and implement safe, environmentally sound removal and exclusion methods. The agent will need to be licensed in wildlife control for the state of North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect properties to identify signs of wildlife presence, including damage, nesting areas, and entry points. Safely and humanely capture, remove, or exclude wildlife such as raccoons, squirrels, bats, birds, snakes, and other nuisance animals. Provide wildlife exclusion services by sealing entry points, installing barriers, and making property modifications to prevent future infestations. Maintain accurate records of wildlife control activities, including detailed reports on inspections, control strategies, and follow-up actions. Educate customers on wildlife behavior, preventative measures, and control solutions. Work closely with the Service Manager and other team members to ensure effective and timely completion of wildlife control services. Ensure compliance with all state and federal wildlife regulations, including humane handling and relocation of wildlife. Perform trapping services in accordance with North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) licensing requirements. Maintain and operate wildlife control equipment in a safe and efficient manner, including traps, ladders, exclusion materials, and protective gear. Follow company safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Attend continuing education and training sessions as needed to maintain licensure and stay up to date on the latest wildlife control techniques.
Requirements:
Must hold or obtain a Wildlife Control Agent (WCA) license for North Carolina from the NCWRC. Previous experience in wildlife management, pest control, or a related field preferred. Ability to work in a variety of environments, including attics, crawl spaces, roofs, and outdoor areas. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to devise creative solutions for wildlife issues. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work on ladders, and perform tasks in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with wildlife exclusion techniques and repairs. Knowledge of local wildlife species and their behaviors. Familiarity with state and federal wildlife regulations.
