QUESTIONS An Equal Opportunity Employer Nature of Work Assists with the development of plans and methods to foster and monitor development activities in the City of Miami. Essential Functions Assists in the formulation of policies and procedures which may involve the overall department or a specific division. Oversees the preparation of divisional budgets. Oversees the preparation of progress reports for public officials of the City as well as a variety of community interest groups. May attend meetings to present budget, activity reports and future development plans. Reports to the Director of Community Development. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Urban Planning or a closely related field and thorough five (5) years progressively responsible experience within the field of community development and/or neighborhood revitalization including considerable three (3) years high level supervisory experience. OR An equivalent combination of education and experience beyond a bachelor’ degree in an aforementioned or a closely related field.

NOTE:

#1. Candidates will be subject to a Level II background screening. #2. Background in the administration and compliance of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) is highly desired. Documentation Requirements

Foreign diplomas/degrees must be submitted with a credential evaluation report from an approved credential evaluation agency•.Translations of diploma/degrees are not accepted. If degree/diploma does not reflect the academic major on its face, transcripts indicating degree completion must be submitted. Audit/Academic reports are not accepted as substitutions for college transcripts. •

Approved Credential Evaluation Agencies:

Credential evaluation reports showing the United States equivalency for academic credentials earned in other countries may be provided by: An accredited four-year college or university in the United States, OR
A current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), OR
A current member of the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE), OR
