Land Entitlements Manager Full-Time Job Overview:
We are partnered with an organization who is seeking an experienced Land Entitlements Manager to lead and coordinate the approvals process for real estate development projects across Florida. The ideal candidate will be highly knowledgeable in zoning, permitting, and land use planning, with a proven track record of navigating regulatory environments and collaborating with public agencies and stakeholders. This role plays a key part in transforming development concepts into buildable realities through effective entitlement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of the entitlement process, including rezoning, site planning, permitting, and plan amendments. Conduct due diligence and feasibility analyses to identify entitlement risks and opportunities for potential development sites. Prepare and manage entitlement applications and documentation in alignment with local, state, and federal requirements. Serve as the primary liaison with government officials, regulatory bodies, and community representatives. Lead and participate in public hearings, community meetings, and stakeholder engagement efforts to secure project approvals. Track and report on entitlement status and development capacity across multiple projects. Collaborate with internal project teams and external consultants (e.g., engineers, architects, environmental experts) to ensure cohesive execution of entitlement strategies. Manage impact fee credits and coordinate with jurisdictions to ensure timely monetization and compliance. Monitor applicable zoning codes, land use policies, and environmental regulations to ensure all development activities remain compliant. Identify potential entitlement-related issues and proactively develop mitigation strategies. Support leadership with regular updates, reporting, and strategic input. Perform additional duties as needed in support of project and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Real Estate, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in land use planning, entitlement management, or real estate development. Strong understanding of Florida’s land development and entitlement processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and project management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline. Certification(s) such as AICP, LEED, or similar professional credentials. Experience with large-scale or mixed-use development projects. Knowledge of sustainable development practices and environmental compliance.
Compensation:
