Where Your Career is a Force for Good! We are currently seeking a (Remote) Full-Time -Director, Gift Planning. This position can work from any location in the United States.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Oversee the development, planning, design, and implementation of planned giving programs. Cultivate and solicit new opportunities and development strategies for planned giving donors. Manage staff and establish objectives and resource planning. Provide support, development, and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD
1. Oversee the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of planned gifts.
2. Increase the organization’s fundraising capacity by developing relationships with organizations in the fields of life insurance, accounting, banking/trusts, law and estate planning.
3. Create and implement planned gift goals, objectives and action plans to support revenue objectives with organizational goals.
4. Lead the solicitation of high-level donors.
5. Manage the organization’s gift planning efforts. Provide overall direction and management to management- and professional-level staff.
6. Conduct strategic planning. Interface with executive leadership
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to the description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
Management Experience:
5 years of management experience.
Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of applicable principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic proficiency in the use of a Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable. Ability to work on a team.
Travel:
May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the chapter jurisdiction, the state, and the Red Cross system.

SALARY INFORMATION
The salary range for this position is $120,000 -$138,000 + incentives Note that the American Red Cross sets salary ranges aligned to a specific geographic location in which the work is performed. The stated salary range in this posting is an average. The specific salary information will be shared at the time of phone screening based upon your location and qualifications.
