30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101 The Program Manager will work with the Deputy Director of Advanced Capital Planning to support the Sponsor agencies in planning their capital needs and address Citywide strategic goals for public buildings, including, but not limited to:

  • Building Conditions
  • Accessibility
  • Coastal and stormwater resiliency
  • Energy use reduction and decarbonization Duties include liaising and coordinating between technical teams, program teams, and sponsor agencies to assist with early capital strategic planning and supporting them on informative decision making.

Coordinate and develop an understanding of each agency’s programming, long term goals, and capital needs for their portfolio, and citywide initiatives for sustainability and resiliency as a result of technical analysis provided, and coordinate with program unit staff to advise them in the preparation of future funding requests. Perform post-occupancy Evaluations (POEs) and surveys, which solicit feedback and lessons learned from end users of recently completed projects. POEs also include analysis on building operations, maintenance, energy and water use, user satisfaction, and many additional factors that will inform future project needs. ADMIN ARCHITECT

(NON MGRL) M-1

  • 1000A Minimum Qualifications A valid New York State Registration as an Architect is required.

In addition, candidates must have six ( 6 ) years of full-time paid experience in architectural work, at least two (2) years of which shall have been as an administrative architect. Preferred Skills The candidate must have a thorough understanding of current architectural/ engineering design principles and practices, the NYC Building Codes, the NYC Energy Code in particular, as well as general building design, construction, project management, and project delivery methodologies. The candidate must have excellent management skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The candidate must have prior experience in a managerial, administrative, or supervisory position. AutoCAD required, BIM preferred, LEED AP preferred.
