This position can be on-site in Tarrytown, NY or Basking Ridge,NJ. This role is on-site 4 days per week and 1 day from home. Aremote role is not possible for this position. The Director,Resource Management (DRM) is a key liaison across multiplefunctions in Global Development (GD) providing comprehensiveresource management and strategic workforce planning for GDfunctions with respect to current programs as well as supportingthe future planning portfolio. The DRM will supervise and coach tworesource managers on the team. To be successful, the DRM will needto have an in-depth understanding of pharmaceutical development, GDfunctional roles, responsibilities and work effort. The DRM will bean expert in industry standard resource management tools andrespective reporting tools to provide key insights regardingcapacity, workforce planning, and resource estimates. The DRM willbe confident in producing ad-hoc scenarios to support businessdevelopment and alternative development pathways. The DRM willdrive a team across all functional areas in GD to ensurecross-functional consistency and harmonized business processes. TheDRM will promote the adherence to RM processes and the delivery ofhigh-quality resource planning, capacity management, tracking, andforecasting of functional resources. In a typical day, you will:

Serve as the key interface and point of contact between ResourceManagement (RM) and partner functions (i.e. resource liaisons) forthe review and assessment of functional resource strategiesincluding the assessment of available resources againstrequirements and confirmation of resource plans with functionalleadership. Work with partner functions to ensure that study,project, and program assumptions are current and resourceutilization is optimized. Partners with applicable functions todesign, develop, implement, and update algorithms in the RM toolused in resource demand forecasts. Direct other RMs assigned toadditional functional areas to ensure cross-functional consistencyfor resource and headcount management. Assist partner functionswith capacity management providing support for annual headcountplanning and ensuring data quality for the quarterly budgetreforecast activities. Deliver regular and ad-hoc resource reports,including forecasted resource demand, capacity, gap analyses, andFTE planned vs. actuals that provide clear insights needed fordecision making. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ResourceManagement and Global Development Resource Capacity Planning forassets, programs, and studies. Provide leadership and operationalsupport for resource management processes including active resourcemanagement, capacity planning, and strategic workforce planning.

Work with the Data Analytics (DA) team to design reports to helpidentify trends and develop metrics and analytics around resourcingand to develop functional and portfolio resourcing benchmarks andmetrics Conduct portfolio and program level scenario analyses.

Models impact of changes in assumptions on resource estimates.

Tobe considered you must have:

Bachelors Degree required and 12 yearsexperience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical/CRO, including, but notlimited to, Early and Late Development functional areas. Or aMasters Degree (MS/MBA) and 10 years of relevant experience may beconsidered. Experience designing, developing, and implementingalgorithms in biopharma is required. A solid understanding of allglobal clinical operational activities required to deliver aclinical development program from candidate selection topost-approval. Familiarity with Regulatory and Safety organizationsa plus Excellent analytical, budgeting, and resource balancingskills Effective communication (clear and concise written andverbal skills), influencing, and negotiating. Excellentinterpersonal and leadership skills, ability to build relationshipsinternally and externally (e.g. with supervisors, peers, partnersand stakeholders). Experience with supervising, coaching, andmentoring direct reports. Expert with Planisware for projectplanning and resource forecasting including the design,development, and implementation of algorithms is required.

Experience with Tableau is preferred. Extensive experience withreporting for business facing resource management in drugdevelopment. Ability to travel up to 20% Does this sound like you?
