JOIN OUR TEAM AS A BUDGET ANALYST II!

This role involves advanced and professional collection, development, and evaluation of data to develop/implement/administer County Budget. Essential Job Functions Receives and analyzes data. Prepares reports from data collected. Creates programs to collect, maintain, and update data. Prepares reports, correspondence, and other communications. Researches various contracts. Develops long-range plans. Researches various laws. Evaluates departmental operations. Performs related work as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Considerable knowledge of accounting principles and the procedures of budget preparation. Knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration and organization. Knowledge of the legislative process at the State level and its interrelationship with County government. Ability to organize and present clear and concise oral and written reports. Ability to isolate and analyze significant trends and practices from detailed records and factual material. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by working assignments and duties. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision or supervise subordinates as assigned. Knowledge of budgeting software. Knowledge of basic accounting. Minimum Requirements

PHYSICAL SKILLS

Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Graduation from a accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, and two (2) years’ of related experience.

EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH PERSONAL COMPUTERS, SPREADSHEETS AND DATABASE SOFTWARE.

Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Public Administration (MPA) is preferred.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS

Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
