Job Profile:
The Policy Clerk is responsible for maximizing customer credit by ensuring manufacturer return policy information is current and accurate in the Pharmalink operating system. This position works closely with other departments, including but not limited to; Return Authorizations, Finance, Information Technology (IT), Compliance and Operations. The policy clerk will enter/upload new item, contacts and pricing information. It is important that the policy clerk create and maintain a reliable internal and external contacts network in order to gather information needed to keep the system item database up to date.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Product updates via Redbook or the NDC list Obtain manufacturer return policy annually Obtain state license information Obtain NDC listing and pricing Maintain updated contacts information Validate manufacturer product acquisition and divestiture Validate product packaging Policy Review and Updating Review manufacturer return goods policies on an annual cycle Schedule and ensure that Redbook updates are completed Upload all pertinent files pertaining to specific manufactures i.e. Returned Goods Policies, Acquisition/Divesting Notification, Updated Policies or Contact information Send policy change notices to appropriate personnel within designated departments Assist Finance/Credit Department with credit denials when called upon. Scheduled telephonic contact with Manufacturers to assure policies are current Other related duties as directed by management.
