This individual will be part of the Environmental Stewardship and Resiliency (ESR) Service Group providing environmental stewardship, sustainability and resilience planning, permitting, and consulting services to Aviation and other industry clients nationally. The ESR service group supports a variety of clients across the nation that operate airports, transportation corridors, Department of Defense Installations, local governments, and a variety ofmercial facilities.
As a member of the ESR Service Group, this individual will help project managers and professionals identify and resolve environmentalpliance challenges associated with large building and infrastructure programs as well as ongoing operations. This individual will also support a broad range of sustainability and resilience projects to include, sustainability plans, greenhouse gas inventories, climate action plans, and long-term adaptation and resiliency planning. Sustainability support will involve collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and interpreting data, preparing figures and data tables, and developing concise and informative reports.
The entry level staff position will provide direct support for activities related to ESR and project delivery to the practice firm-wide. The ideal candidate will have an interest in providing a broad array of aviation and other industry environmentalpliance and planning services. Broadpliance knowledge and interests in air, water, stormwater, wetland and stream impacts, oil spill prevention and management, vehicle and fuel management, hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste management, greenhouse gas management, energy efficiency, renewable energy and data management systems desired. Interests in developing proactive environmental programs and plans including operational sustainability, restoration and long-term adaptation and resiliency.

Requirements:

Requires an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental sciences or engineering or related field
Interest in preparing regulatory documents needed to meet federal and state-specific environmental laws and regulations and FAA orders associated withpliance with federal laws and regulations. Interest in preparing NEPA documentation for airport improvement projects a plus.
Interest in energy management, energy audits,missioning a plus.
Interest in third party certification programs (e.g., LEED, Green Globes, Envision) a plus.
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is essential for use inpleting assignments
Ability to work in an independent but collaborative team environment and be highly responsive to client deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of airport and other industry environment and associated operations
Certification or certification-tracked by a professional society or a state regulatory board in the discipline of practice within 4 year is desired, if applicable. These certifications or registrations may include but are not limited to Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP), Sustainability Excellence Professional (SEP), Certified Ecologist (CE), or registered Professional Engineer (PE – Civil/Environmental) or Professional Geologists (PG).

Typical salary range for this position in Colorado is $65,205 to $76,218 andmensurate with experience relative to the position.
