Job Description
Core4ce Strategic Cybersecurity Planner 708-383 Core4ce is seeking a Strategic Cybersecurity Planner to lead cybersecurity strategic planning efforts for Core4ce and its partners. This role is responsible for managing key stakeholders, developing and executing strategic plans, and shaping critical DoD cybersecurity policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) ecosystem, strategic planning, and policy development at the DoD enterprise level.
ResponsibilitiesStakeholder Management:
Work with key stakeholders to define and achieve strategic cybersecurity goals.
Policy Influence & Development:
Participate in DoD-level working groups, summits, and policymaking efforts to drive necessary policy changes, including shaping DoDM 8530.01 and other relevant regulations.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to align with organizational objectives.
Subject Matter Expertise (SME)
Support:
Provide expert guidance to multiple DoD CSSPs on cybersecurity strategies, best practices, and compliance.
Mentorship & Training:
Assist in mentoring DoD Cybersecurity Service Managers (CSSMs) to ensure awareness of roles and responsibilities.
Audit & Compliance Support:
Assist in planning and conducting internal CSSP audits in accordance with the CSSP Evaluation, Sustainment, and Modernization (ESM) framework.
Minimum Qualifications15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 10 years supporting federal agencies.
Extensive experience with the CSSP validation process, including preparing and reviewing ESM artifacts.
Demonstrated experience managing a CSSP and all aspects of DoDM 8530.01 compliance.
Familiarity with the CSSP audit lifecycle, findings/recommendations, and evidence collection for CSSP certification.
Strategic planning expertise in cloud environments, with required Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) knowledge.
Expertise in NIST cybersecurity frameworks and their application to DoD requirementsDemonstrated ability to lead complex strategic initiatives at the enterprise level.
Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI or ability to obtain.
Certifications:
Candidate must hold or obtain within six months: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or CSSP certificationPreferred QualificationsExperience working within the DoD CIO office on policy-related efforts.
