Job Duties:
The Accounting/Fiscal Analyst preforms fiscal job duties related to revenue and account receivable ledger maintenance. In accordance with South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS), preforms accounting functions related to processing revenue transactions and assigning to appropriate agency/program funding classifications. Serves as a first line reviewer for verifying vendor documents for issuance of a SCEIS vendor number are accurate. Reviews all documentation submitted and determines if an approval or denial of the submitted documentations is necessary. There is a high volume of documents to review as quicky and accurately as possible for vendors to be prepared for an interface by the IT staff for creating the vendor payments. Responsible for processing all incoming mail, to include collecting mail from the mailroom, lobby drop box and Accounts Receivable hallway drop box. Required to open, sort and stamp mail received, posting incoming revenue on the office check log for tracking revenue. Assist with researching incoming payments to assign proper coding on deposits, and working with program staff as needed to properly identify incoming payments. Assist with daily deposits through the online banking application. Assists with Cental Claims duties by handling client inquiries about their balances due for overpayments of SNAP and TANF benefits. This includes establishing repayment agreements, requesting refunds, determining and posting needed corrections to DSS files, deferring collection actions based on client bankruptcy filing or referring clients to other resources. Post payments and maintains accurate client claims status in CHOP. Ensures personal identifying information is safeguard. Assists cashier with the daily Wells Fargo deposits and posting the incoming Revenue to SCEIS. Assists in the posting/clearing of Wire Transfers for Federal Grant funds. Assist in the research of Tyler Industries credit card payments for vendors needing refunds, processes refunds. Complies the backup supporting documentation for the monthly direct bill invoices and provides to the cashier to process through SCEIS and mails invoices to customers. Assists with the monthly

reconciliation and the posting of the monthly adjusted entries. Assists in recording the agency’s public assistance revenue activity and in the posting of SNAP and TANF deposits for 46 counties offices. Helps research monthly outstanding deposits notifications from the State Treasurer’s Office and contacts the appropriate agency personnel for necessary identifying information as needed. Preforms daily check pull request for the agency ensuring checks requested for special delivery to clients and t6he agency are submitted to the State Treasurer’s Office for Federal Espress Delivery. Maintains spreadsheet for the check pull request and distributes check in accordance with the program request. Assists with new vendor enrollments and coordinated maintenance of the SC Comptroller General’s Vendor table. Performs other tasks as assigned. Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/ services as directed. Minimum and Additional Requirements A High School Diploma and four (4) years of financial experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, government, management, or public administration. A Bachelor’s Degree in any field and one (1) year of financial experience.
