Job Description TechSilo is hiring an Intelligence Analyst to support the FBI’s Laboratory Intelligence Unit (LIU) at the FBI Laboratory located at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The Intelligence Analyst will deliver intelligence analysis in a laboratory environment focused on the forensic and technical exploitation of evidence, particularly improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and related materials, in support of the FBI’s mission to protect the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze, assimilate, and evaluate all available intelligence information related to assigned areas, with emphasis on terrorism, foreign threats, and IEDs. Prepare detailed, finished intelligence studies and analysis products for dissemination to FBI, US Intelligence Community, and partner agencies. Respond to requests for information from government and partner agencies, providing specialized operational intelligence, threat, and targeting analysis. Conduct data exploitation and perform in-depth research using automated intelligence databases, editing and formatting data as required. Contribute to the identification of potential leads for FBI investigations involving laboratory-exploited evidence. Collaborate closely with multi-disciplined teams within the FBI, law enforcement, intelligence community (IC), and partner entities. Ensure the accuracy and clarity of intelligence reporting by applying editorial and grammar skills. Present briefings, summaries, reports, and presentations to designated audiences, including internal and external stakeholders. Recognize and report important new information requiring further examination or study. Organize and maintain relevant intelligence files pertaining to laboratory-exploited materials.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS U.S.

citizenship. Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance. Bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited college or university or equivalent experience. Minimum of three years of intelligence analysis experience in the FBI, law enforcement, or the Intelligence Community (IC), with demonstrated experience producing intelligence products, especially related to hard sciences or technical activties. Familiarity with intelligence requirements, processes, and the use of automated intelligence databases. At least five years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). At least two years of demonstrated editorial and grammar experience in copyediting, print-publishing, or similar responsibilities. At least three years of demonstrated experience working in multi-disciplined or team environments. Experience in laboratory settings or with the analysis of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), forensic evidence, or technical exploitation.

PHYSICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS

Ability to perform work on-site at Redstone Arsenal, AL. Ability to attend in-person meetings and collaborate with cross-agency and multi-disciplinary teams. Willingness to participate in counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examinations, if required. Ability to support and operate in a laboratory environment focused on forensic exploitation of evidence.
