Description Job Description The Intelligence Analyst II supports the FBI Laboratory Intelligence Unit (LIU) in Huntsville, AL, by delivering operational intelligence services that enhance FBI investigations and intelligence missions. This role focuses on conducting data exploitation, developing tactical and operational intelligence products, and identifying investigative leads derived from forensic analyses of materials such as improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The analyst contributes to intelligence production disseminated to the U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) and foreign partners. Specific Responsibilities Conduct bulk and target exploitation of forensic and technical data to support FBI intelligence functions. Perform raw, tactical, and operational intelligence analysis in direct support of FBI investigations and operations. Identify and assess investigative leads derived from forensic exploitation and technical examinations. Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from U.S. Government and partner agencies in a timely and accurate manner. Produce intelligence products (e.g., analytical reports, Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs), and briefings) for dissemination to FBI stakeholders, the USIC, and foreign partners. Contribute to threat and targeting analysis efforts that address national security and investigative priorities. Apply established analytical methods in support of LIU’s mission and assist in the execution of intelligence exploitation processes. Participate in kickoff and recurring meetings to communicate progress and support alignment with FBI objectives. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all analysis, source data, and methodologies in accordance with FBI protocols. Collaborate with forensic examiners, technical experts, and other intelligence professionals in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 of intelligence analysis experience within the U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC), including authoring raw and/or tactical intelligence products; OR an Associate degree and at least seven (7) years of USIC intelligence experience; OR a High School diploma and a minimum of nine (9) years of USIC intelligence experience. Experience and/or familiarity with intelligence requirements and processes. Strong interpersonal ability, demonstrated by at least three (3) years of experience working on a multi-disciplined team or within a team environment. Strong editorial and grammar skills, demonstrated by at least two (2) years of experience in copy editing, print-publishing, or other writing-heavy responsibilities. At least five (5) years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite products, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Previous military, law enforcement, or other federal government/non-USIC experience Contract Intelligence Analysts with a hard science or technical background Any experience having certified release authority to release and/or disseminate intelligence products Experience with current USIC tools Required Education/Certification Active
