Job Description

Vibriosis in Waterfowl Researcher 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars Durham, NH USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app This part-time researcher position reports to the Natural Resources and the Environment Assistant Professor in Applied Avian Ecology. They will be responsible for providing junior research support to the core staff on a project investigating the latitudinal movement of avian malaria in response to climate change. Such activities may include providing logistical support to primary data collection efforts, reviewing statistical output, formatting tables, contributing to literature reviews, and/or preparing materials for publication. This role is not considered essential staff. Duties/Responsibilities Locate relevant research studies and assess for scientific quality Maintain team Endnote library by adding new articles, completing records, thoughtfully sorting and tagging materials by topic for use in bibliographies Summarize the scientific literature related to avian malaria and climate change Minimum Qualifications Experience with research- and project-management-relevant software, including Web of Science and Google Scholar/Drive Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA’s) Ability to interpret statistical results, identify unexpected results, and conduct quality assurance activities Understanding of different stakeholder audiences, including policymakers, funders, practitioners, and the public Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and appropriately manage priorities Demonstrated ability to work on a team Preferred Qualifications, if applicable Experience with preparing materials from the scientific literature
