PM Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, assigns and dispatches motor vehicles and drivers to fill requests for movement of passengers and/or freight.
Task:
Compiles list of available vehicles. Assigns vehicles according to factors, such as length and purpose of trip, freight or passenger requirements and user preference. Checks driver credentials and issues keys and dispatch documentation. Investigates overdue vehicles. May direct activities of drivers, using two-way radio. Observes condition of vehicles and reports all damage, discrepancies and malfunctions. May instruct drivers in proper preparation of vehicle documentation. May maintain record of passenger counts, dispatch and pickup times, vehicle mileage and other utilization data. May be assigned to drive small commercial vehicles for military taxi service.

Education and Experience:

One year of clerical experience required; one year dispatching and data entry experience preferred. Specific position may require the individual to work rotating shifts and/or possess a valid state driver’s license (Georgia Class 1 or equivalent). Must possess or be able to obtain a military driver’s license within 15 days. Must be medically qualified in accordance with company and government regulations. High school diploma or equivalent (either a GED or three years of work experience that demonstrates the ability to write, read and comprehend written instructional documents, perform common mathematical tasks and to communicate effectively).
